What types of frames can be used for color blind glasses?
The color corrective lenses can be fitted into almost any frame style. However, rimless frames, drill-mounted frames, wrap-around frames, and safety glasses are not compatible with the ColorCorrection System™ lenses. Patients can use their own existing frames or purchase frames through Colormax.
Can color blind glasses also correct my vision prescription?
Yes. The color corrective glasses lenses can be designed with or without a vision prescription, so patients who need correction for nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism can have both their color vision and standard vision corrected in the same pair of glasses.
How long does it take to get color blind glasses?
Unlike the color corrective contact lenses which are available the same day, the color blind glasses require approximately 4 to 6 weeks to design and fabricate after your all-day appointment. The lenses are precision-crafted at the exact wavelength of light determined during your evaluation to guarantee passing the Ishihara Color Plate Test, the Rabin Cone Contrast Test (RCCT), the Waggoner Computerized Color Vision Test (CCVT), and the Farnsworth D-15 Color Vision Test.
